Polygon Gas Price Tracker

Understanding Polygon Gas Fees

Gas fees on the Polygon PoS Chain are denominated in POL (formerly MATIC) and are typically a fraction of a cent for standard token transfers. The base fee is determined algorithmically based on current network congestion, while the priority fee (tip) is set by the user to incentivize faster block inclusion. Polygon POS Scan's gas tracker displays the current recommended fee tiers in real time.

Gas Fee Estimation

Polygon POS Scan shows three gas price tiers: Slow (lowest cost, ~30 seconds), Standard (balanced cost and speed, ~15 seconds), and Fast (highest priority, ~5 seconds). These estimates account for current mempool conditions and are updated every few seconds as new blocks arrive on the Polygon PoS network.

Historical Gas Charts

Beyond real-time tracking, Polygon POS Scan provides historical gas price charts spanning 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. These charts help developers and users identify low-traffic periods when transaction costs are minimized, enabling strategic timing of large transactions or batch operations on the Polygon PoS Chain.
